We are never far away from those that have passed from this life or perhaps just from our own lives. The brown represents the here and now and the red, purple, pink, beige represent heaven or a place of your own bliss and the varying stages one might travel to get there. Those that we have loved and lost are only a thought away. Listening. Really listening.... It is one of the most difficult tasks for many of us. We are so busy thinking about all the things we need to get done, what we want to say, where we have to go or where we’ve been. For me, listening and quieting my mind has been the catalyst for change and healing. I began painting as a way of working through the grief of losing a dear family friend in a tragic car accident.
