About Tracy Evans
I began painting in 2005 as a way of working through grief. From the moment my brush, laden and glistening with vibrant colors first touched the canvas, a part of my soul was opened up. I began to work through the pain by expressing my emotions with color. The paint gave my pain a voice. The colors spoke for me and the canvas was the perfect listener. The more I painted, the more I healed.
When I paint, the outcome is never preconceived and always unexpected. I draw from my emotion and try to represent that emotion in the colors I use, the movement of those colors, and the feelings they evoke. Listening to what is going on inside and trusting the process helps to create the safe and sacred space for that emotion and voice to come out. I believe I have stories to tell. They cannot be told audibly. Let my soul be opened up. Let the paint be my voice and the canvas my listener. Let the stories be told.
I also have a love of photography and have decided to add some of my work in that area as well. I hope you are inspired and made joyful by it.
Peace, Love and Paint.
